Darell Gurney

Darell has spent over 18 years in executive search, building a reputation as a trusted advisor to boards navigating CEO succession and leadership transitions at the highest level. Before co-founding MYcareerCentre, he led CEO-level mandates at a global search firm, working across financial services, industrials, and technology sectors.
He is known for combining rigorous market intelligence with a genuinely consultative approach treating every CEO search as a governance decision, not just a hiring one.
Notable achievement: Led the CEO succession process for a FTSE 250 industrial group, guiding the board through an 18-month transition that resulted in a unanimous appointment and a smooth handover widely cited internally as a model for how succession planning should be done.
Patricia Lambert
Partner, Executive Search, CEO & Board Practices
Patricia brings over 15 years of experience in executive search and corporate governance advisory, with a particular focus on board composition, succession planning, and non-executive director appointments.
Prior to joining MYcareerCentre, she held senior search roles advising boards across financial services and professional services sectors, and has worked closely with remuneration and nomination committees on leadership strategy.
Notable achievement: Recognised by an industry body for her contribution to board diversity initiatives, having advised on the appointment of multiple first-time NEDs into FTSE-listed boardrooms.
Jonny Sydai

Jonny is the engine room of MYcareerCentre's CEO Practice, responsible for the rigorous market mapping, research, and candidate assessment that underpins every search.
With a background in strategic research and talent intelligence, he has built a reputation for uncovering exceptional candidates that traditional database searches miss often identifying leaders who weren't actively on the market.
Notable achievement: Built and delivered a market-mapping methodology now used firm-wide, credited with reducing average search timelines while improving shortlist quality across CEO-level mandates.
James Lameda
Head of Executive Search, Finance & Member of the Board Practice
James leads MYcareer's Finance Practice, specialising in CFO and senior finance leadership search across a range of industries. With over 16 years of experience in financial services and executive search, he has developed a strong network among finance leaders and a sharp understanding of what boards look for when appointing to the top finance seat. His board-level involvement gives him added insight into how finance leadership decisions intersect with wider governance priorities.
Notable achievement: Successfully placed CFOs into three consecutive IPO-track companies, each of whom went on to lead successful public listings within 24 months of appointment.
